Dyan was live Monday 24th January– Thursday 27th January at 6.30pm UK Time, 1.30pm EST. There is also a Facebook group that you can request to join where you will be able to meet the other students, post your pages, ask questions and join in the fun. Don’t worry if you can’t make the live as you can watch the video later.
If you love making your own books you will absolutely love the Star book. So named, because when stood up opened, it creates the shape of a star. I’ve been teaching this class for about 15 years in many varied shapes and forms, and it remains a firm favourite. I’ve only ever taught this in my own studio so decided it was time to unleash it online. It’s probably one of the only classes where I am precise in the measurements.
We will be constructing the book from scratch with 3 different colours of card stock and then creating shaped pockets. I will be making my pockets with ready decorated pages torn from the jumpstart journal to save time. We will then be filling the pockets with decorated tags and adding ribbons and embellishments. You won’t stop at making just one ?
Supply List
I will be providing an updated supply list as soon as I’ve finished the sample, but to give you an idea you will need
• 12 sheets of A4 card in 3 colourways. (Large journal page size)
• 13 decorated pages torn from the jumpstart journal
• Mixed media card stock for the tags
• Lots of double-sided tape
• A bone folder for scoring
• Ribbon
